Identification/Selection of molecules for development
Performing searches in various databases, short-list relevant patents/applications and preparing patent landscape and product summaries.
Preparing Patent Evaluation Reports
Infringement analysis & Performing Freedom-to-operate (FTO) analysis.
Designing strategies for API development against the available patent landscape for APIs.
Reviewing Route of Synthesis and polymorphic data of API and clearing APIs for development
Drafting Patent Specifications, Filing and Prosecution of National & International Patent Applications
Regulatory polymorph identification and conformation
Responding to Customer Queries and supporting the BD /marketing team.
Responding to Patent Examination Reports/ Office Actions for India, USA & Europe
Watching competitor patents/applications
Updates of the molecules of interest to the concerned department with regard to the patent issues
Maintaining the IP documentation and sharing the updated information to CFTs
Discussions with Cross-functional teams (CFTs) i.e. with R&D Scientists, Regulatory Affairs & Analytical Development etc.
